Now then. Thought a thread sharing some life hacks might be useful for rainy day projects. Could be bike related, or anything that floats your boat

So ... Recently replaced my car and none of my collection of water bottles fit in the cup holders. Most are way too large, some too small, one was almost spot on, but still left room for a little rattle, which drives me nuts on journeys

Solution. Cut up on old inner tube, wrap it around the bottle, held together with Gorilla tape, bish bash bosh it’s now the perfect fit and I’m a happy man once again. Over & out

I hit a massive large rock. Fortunately, the shoe protected my foot, but it broke.
But Aquasure would fix it.

The top of my Shimano AM42s have a large flap to protect the laces. The flap also provides a large degree of water protection. But over time, impact with pedals, brambles and the like have shredded the flap so that it no longer does what it was supposed to do. I used Gorilla tape to construct a shield. It looked really nice to start with!

They still do Steve! As good as new. You’ll get another ten years out of them at least

Haha, true.
The Gorilla tape is the solution to many problems. But I think in this case, Aquasure took the win

And you need a universal life hack tool; mine is the Handyman Swiss Army Knife; you can drill holes, sew leather or other heavy stuff, cut and file steel, saw wood. I've made lots of fixes in the bush with this on the motorbike and mtb. A good jolly mentor like Felix Immler also helps

Wound a couple of yards of Gaffer tape around my mini-pump handle. Along with some paper towels in my pocket and my Gerber Suspension Multipliers (using the scissor tool), I can make a serviceable field dressing for cuts that won't stop bleeding. The paper towels also come in handy for the wiping of nose, eyes, hands, arse.

The Gaffer tape will also make a reasonable tyre patch for when the tyre is seriously, but not grievously, damaged.

Gaffer tape is the Universal Fixer. If we didn't already have it and someone wrote a spec for it and what it should be able to do, I wonder how expensive the resultant product would be?
