Manual says motor error- Try rebooting or checking Mission Control App for more information. Contact your Authorized Specialist Retailer.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery?

No need, just connect the bike to Mission Controll app and check for yourself and update if necessary ...

there is no reason for the bike to show a motor error merely because it may not have the latest update! My 2019 Levo Comp has the same software versions as when I bought it.
You need to provide greater context about your fault.
1. Was the bike working OK before the TCU error code came up. I assume it was working when you bought the bike...how long a go was that?
2. If it was working but then developed the error code, what happened to the bike in between those times?
3. What model Levo and what year?

Yeah, usually there is no specific reason for bugs being in a software also ... I had this same error occasionally and since updating to firmware 7.4.1 in December 2020 fixed this issue. Release notes of this update has a note "Bug fix for incorrectly triggered motor reset error" and I presume this was it, no errors since then ...

Thanks for all your replies, it was riding fine with no issues. The error code came up after I removed the motor to install a new Shimano cassette derailleur and brakes. Its a 2019 bike with a new gen 2 battery. I gather any software updates has to be done by Specialized?

FYI these tasks can be done without removing the motor...
You can update fw of the motor and TCU by yourself OTA via MC app.

Have you also tried connect to the TCU using different smartphone? I persume you are entering correct BT code... If this also doesn't work then you apparently have a problem with TCU and you should visit your dealer anyway ...

I had this error while riding at full power on a hot day. I unplugged the battery on the trail and left it unplugged for 30 seconds and then plugged it back in. The error cleared and didn't come back. I consider it some sort of glitch in the code, or an overheat error. Dunno for sure.
