Levo turbo 2018 HT fork upgrade

Hi guys just purchased a levo turbo ht 2018. I ll cut to the chase... The forks are Suntour xcm and are horrendous. I want to upgrade but don't know the measurement specs, tube size, is it tapered etc. and I need to New forks to fit my existing wheels etc. Any helpl would be great. Thanks in advance.

Presume it Is this bike, 2019 not 2018, as the 2018 was 27.5 and had a Rockshox RL.

In which case it has this fork:

SR Suntour XCM32, 47mm offset, 15x110mm thru-axle. (S: 100mm travel, M/L/XL: 120mm travel)

Pretty much any Boost spacing 29'r fork will fit on it, travel wise you could go longer than stock, but I doubt you would want to go more than 140mm

What steerer is it S I see some are tapered etc. Sorry new to all this bike geometry stuff.

Ok, first off are you going to try and fit the fork yourself? Because if buying a fork online, and fitting it yourself, whilst not difficult, does require cutting down the steerer tube, and also taking the crown race off the old fork and putting it onto the new fork, and depending on fork you may need a different headset, and these may need specialist tools.

It might be worth going via your LBS to get a fork and get it fitted, as they can advise you?

I had my 2019 Levo HT fork changed to a Rockshox Sektor RL 140 by a local bike shop, the only thing I haven't attempted myself yet...

Mine is also labelled made in 2018.

That's a good shout man. So I can Google search what fork recommendations would u give, and does the offset matter too much? if its 52mm compared to 47mm. I guess it gives more castor angle thus more stable. I may be wrong.

Why is a 2019 bike labelled 2018. That's wrecks my head a little lol

Because the 2019 model year bikes are actually launched in the back end of 2018, and its the date of manufacture no the model year stamped on the bike

The forks are terrible, mine were super stiff to start with, have loosened off over the last 600+ miles, but are still in need of replacement!
Be good to hear what you end up replacing them with,.
