I put one on the new one as well. Its to stop people yanking it out and damaging the right angled connector.I always wondered why mine had a tie wrap on it see you had the same, any ideas what that was about ?
The tie wrap as I call it only around one cable can'tThe service manual also refers to a zip tie to be fitted to reduce the strain on the connector......not sure you can refer to the black cable tie as a zip tie, so is there supposed to be a zip tie as well maybe to control the tension in the looped section. The service manual does not go into fitting details for the cable.
It’s to stop idiots pulling the cable too far out of the motor housing and snapping off the connector at the other end.The tie wrap as I call it only around one cable can't
See what it is supposed to do to be honest
So your meaning pulling it while the side cover is still on , got it now very Mickey Mouse really thoughIt’s to stop idiots pulling the cable too far out of the motor housing and snapping off the connector at the other end.
?Looks like mine needs a new TCU as well as the split internal power cable replacement
