I'm finding the saddle on my 2020 Levo Comp to be really uncomfortable. I've given it a few weeks to bed in but I still hate it. My butt is pretty skinny and lacking in padding.

When I test rode a 2019 Comp I found the saddle was pretty comfy.

Has anyone had a go with the Specialised Body Geometry thingy which works out the best saddle for you? Or found a good saddle that works really well?

I hear you, hate the saddle that came on my 2020 Comp, my 2017 Expert had a comfier stock saddle. As per Rob recommendation, I got an Ergon SM-E Mountain, great support and comfort for all day riding, top notch quality and it looks so good. Love it!

Saddles are a very personal choice, what works for me won’t necessarily work for you. It worth try to locate you choice 2nd hand & not pay full retail until your sure it’s the one for you. Love the fizik gobi, but even that gets uncomfortable on really long rides

Ps. That ergon saddle get good reviews, just note it comes in 2 widths

Note: The 2020 Levo in size S comes with a women's saddle.

Cycling shorts, knicks and bibknicks have a padded chamois that will greatly improve comfort.

I found the ergon saddle very uncomfortable I now have a 610 SQlab saddle which I find is head and shoulders above the ergon for comfort.
But as the others have pointed out saddles are a personal thing and defo get your bum measured.

I find lots of saddles too flat along the top with nothing to stop me feeling like I'm slipping off the back on steep climbs (which I can now ride on an ebike). The Ergon mentioned above does have rear ramp for this purpose or you could go a more traditional shape like the Fabric Scoop Radius which has an S shape profile

As said many times, saddles is a very personal preference, but I have tried a few and the ones I like the most are from SQLabs, I tried first the 611 active and absolutely loved it, I was suffering from low back pain after about 2 hour rides and the pain was gone after the saddle change! In fact I liked it so much that I decided to get a 60x and move the 611 to the analog bike, the profile of both is the same and the 60X just has a little bit more padding but I can not really feel any difference in comfort since I always use padded liners under my shorts. Two important notes: measure your sit bones and get the saddle width that is recommended and second the angle on the SQlabs is quite critical and you will need to fine tune it, when I first tried the 611 it was perfect but when I switched to the 60x I experienced a bit of discomfort on the perineal area that was solved by lowering the tip (less than a turn on the bolts). People that try my bike normally comment on how good the saddle feels.

Resurrecting an old thread , hope no one minds
I have a Levo 19 expert and it comes with a Spesh Phenom saddle
I've been using it for almost two years and have found by it to be pretty good . Done some longish rides , around 3hrs / 50 km , and only had occasional mild discomfort on it
However , recently it has become an object of torture
Within minutes it's starting to really hurt , after about 30 mins I'm thinking of aborting rides
I normally ride with no undercrackers , padded shorts the baggy shorts over the top . I've started wearing 2 pairs of padded shorts plus baggies . It sometimes helps a little but is not the Holy Grail answer. Yesterday after about 10 km my butt was so sore that I could barely sit down , when I did each bump on the trail made me wince.
Then when I lifted my butt of the saddle the first 2 or 3 second were agony as well .

To be fair , I've shed a few Kilos recently and my butt isn't as lardy as it was , maybe slightly natural less padding isn't helping.
The pain is right on my seat bones and is extremely painful , so much so that it hurts all evening whilst I'm sat on the sofa , after a ride , doing nowt .
Reminds me how much it stung in highschool when I got " The Dap" from the headmaster for misbehaving ?
Different times ?

So my questions are - how do I solve this ?
Is my original saddle worn out and no longer offer the same level of comfort?
Would simply replacing it ,like for like sort the problem ?

i know saddles are a very personal fit , is there a go to saddle that seems to work for most ?
Ergon seem to get a lot of love , are they worth a punt ?
Your thoughts , recommendations and suggestions welcome

Thanks in advance

Hello you are right, when I bought my first E-MTB it came with a saddle in house produced and I never liked it, on shorter rides was always not very comfortable then I've changed it for the Ergon SM E-Mountain and all the pain was gone. Now I have already bought a new bike and the same problem, in house saddle doesn't work for me. I ordered the new Ergon SM E-Mountain Core Prime and I find it even more comfortable than the SM E-Mountain.
I works for me.

I've also friends that tried the SM E-Mountain and they like also.

Try some saddles from your friends maybe you'll find some that you like.

Cheers,
Bruno

The Ergon SM E-Mountain Core Prime is the one I've been looking at so im grateful for your feedback
Yes , Ideally I could try my mates saddles but they are all too tight to buy any thing decent.
They spend 6K on a bike and suffer with a sore butt ? really don't understand that ?
I will definitely have a look at one of those though

There should be LBS that could measure your sit bones and help you with the choosing the best saddle for you. I'm very happy with mine.

You might take a look at Ergon’s new Core saddles.
They’re expensive, but the comfort is amazing!

I've been looking at them , might have to suck it up and take a chance
Shame there's not a try before you buy option
Don't mind paying the premium price if it works for me , but parking it on my garage shelf is not a desirable option after spending that sort of cash ?

I had a chromag saddle on my levo I just sold ( and all my bikes -stumpy shown also ) and love them. I have artificial hip joints ( both ) and these are the first I’ve loved. These have a indentation in the middle as all ergonomic saddles have but also have a lot of support and are comfy.
