I've been thinking about getting a garmin as a display for my kenevo, Ive seen you can get charge level as a fake channel, but is there other info I can display too? I'm really after a mode display.

Has anyone used a garmin 130 with a kenevo? They look nice and small and easy to read, I have a 800 on my other bike but never bother with the mapping or nav.

yep the higher level garmin will display power settings via a specialised data field

Not a Garmin but I use Wahoo. Great neat device.

No actual it doesn’t. That’d be great. It just needs Wahoo to update it to add support. I’m going to email them now to suggest it.

There are two ways of seeing the battery on a Garmin:
1- go to mission control app and activate fake channel, the channel you chose (ex: cadence) will show Bat %, though you will lose that metric
2- Use the Specialized app above, install it through Garmin Connect, you can enjoy a new screen on your Garmin, that shows, battery, Mode, speed, etc... and if you have a touch garmin device (Edge 820 and above) , you can also change the mode in the screen.

I have a Garming Edge 1000 with the Turbo data field installed, works great. But how do you change modes? Or see what mode you are in? I tried to ad more fields, but only got more fields with the battery level.

I think you have my option 1, change mode works with option 2, Have you got the specialized app installed on the edge 1000 (garmin connect IQ)?

cheap android phone loaded with BLEvo, mission control and a route app got the whole for about 50 quid another twenty for a good topcap mount

Yep definitely a good solution. I am trying to break my not-inexpensive smartphone, but haven't succeeded yet!
