Levo going faster from factory

So finally got a 2018 Levo fsr and it’s awesome.
The cut out is supposed to be 25kmh, but noticed on the Mission control app it seems to taper off the power at 25kmh and does not switch off completely till 27kmh. Is this normal ?
Also when it comes to setting the modes.
What is the difference between turbo 80% and motor current 100%. As opposed to turbo 100% and mc 80% ?

that's great news on the 2018 FSR levo!!
I thought mine cuts out at 24kph, but I'm no expert and not even sure if my Garmin 520 accurate .
I'm under the impression that when I'm using eco @ 20% that I'm also using 20% engine ( but don't quote me ) I also think when you hit the up button twice your in Turbo & normally ( unless you set it different via Mission Control ) turbo would = 100% & 100% engine. I mostly stick to 20% eco and seem to get a good range before battery hits its limit.
I also thought that part of the deal to allow levo and other E bikes to operate unregistered was the 24kph limit. but I think I just read that and no one told me. the LBS I got mine from just said don't try to increase the 24KPH speed limit of the motor or will void warranty.
well anyway mine puts a smile on my face every ride 2,000k traveled now.

i think the speed limiter differs from country to country but the 2018 levos handle the transition from assist to no assist very well it tapers it off so you almost dont notice that you are now the only one powering the bike and when it comes back in its also very subtle
re the motor current thing, the latest firmware (2018) gives 100% assist and 100% motor current in turbo but reduces the motor current in eco and trail to match the assist level thats set.
Personally I set mine up to 40/65/100 i find for me its a good balance between power and battery life
specialised also allow you to set the wheel diameter, the smallest being 2000. setting to this will give you the highest allowed cutoff speed but its only a difference of 1-2km and setting a wheel circumference different to what you are actually using will put your logged miles off a little but only a little

Yeah it's defult 2250 but can set from 2000 - 2400.
I tried to see what the garmin read compared to the missioncontrol kmh.
garmin aprox 25kmh and mission control arox 27kmh

I guess the wheel size is wrong, but it's all factory right down to the 2.8 butcher grids. maybe I should adjust the wheel size to make mission control more accurate.

thanks ccrdave, I have tried that myself, but have gone back to 20/45/100 with 100motor and race. just in the hope battery will last & also make me do some work!! I road 23k , mixture of medium climbs with two good size hill's but paved all the way. I managed it in 20% all the way and in high gear. I get home mission control say's I used 15% battery & have 85% left.
next week I'm going to a 36 tooth front Sproket.

I have removed the butcher tyres fitted what Specialised used in 2017, as before I got the new FSR 2018 Levo , I had a 2016 Levo Fatty HT and the 27.5 x 3.0" tyres seemed to roll much faster & further, also I run tubeless and the front with 12psi rear 15psi I can roll as good and better than most in the group I ride with. but with the butcher 27.5 x 2.8" it did not roll as well. but the 3.0" flex a bit in hard corners. do you know how many pound air pressure you have in you fork's?

If I swap out the tyres i’ll Probs go Maxxis Dhf front and still deciding on a rear. I have heard the butchers do not roll well. I’ll try 15psi front and 20psi rear.
Still yet to get it out on the trails and do some testing, as it just has not stopped raining.
First thing is to get a dropper for it, but Spesh don’t have any command posts with 125mm drop in the country. It’s got like 20-25mm offset where the standard post on mine has 8mm. I really need that little extra. Only others are ks eten Integra and 9point8. Tubeless I will so shortly.

well post how they go, I've done a lot of trails as just over 2,000k now will get a service next week prob have 2,200 by then.

That’s amazing range to do 23k and still have 85% left.

That's what I thought too Rob.
Have to remember I road on all smooth paved surface & kept it at 20% all the way, I also peddled hard. I increased the pressure in the 27.5 x 3.0" to 18 psi front & rear ( did not notice a gain in rolling, over 12 psi F 15 psi R ) I was in high gear most of the way, with only two very steep climbs . settings 20% / 45% / 100% with 100% motor and at race. but 20% full distance.

Done 45km and 620m, 2h20min average 19kmh and had 11% left. Played around with it a fair bit to get a feel for things. Last 20 km was turbo 100% Mc 100% and accelerate normal.
First 20km was a mix of eco 30-35% for the flat, trail 65-70% for the med hills and turbo 100% for big hills. ACC eco - normal, Mc 100%. There were 3 Kill hills in the first 20km and 3 kill hills in the last 20%. These were super steep between 15-30 deg ( kill hills)
Tyre pressure F 15 psi, rear 20psi and i’m 118kg kitted up. Half the ride was also a 25-30knt head wind.

when I road 23 k using 15% of battery. I was on 20% all the way. you have to work hard!
your a big boy , I'm only 73kg.
weather been ok here was hot n sunny all day. I road 47k this afternoon with about 2,000ft elevation .
I had power setting 20 / 45 /100 , with 100% motor & eco ex mixture rough rocky dirt tracks, smooth dirt track lot of long climbs then trip home on side of highway. I tried to stay at 20% but some sections too hard so used 45% but went back to 20% as soon as I could. got home with 66% power left so thats 34% power used. my bike has the 500 battery

I am running 20 / 50 / 100 at the moment with 90% current, I think I might just put this back to 100% because the current limit apparently also effects ECO and Trail.
What is the difference between Race and Eco on accel, is it motor run on after pedaling?

I have also changed my tyres to Maxxis Rekon 2.8 and run these at 20-25 on the front and 30 on the rear - surface / weather dependant, and after about 20miles still have around 70-80% battery left, this is mainly using ECO with some trail mode added in now and then.

Taffyteg I have tried from eco to race, can notice response time quick on race, but shop tech mentioned if having traction problems, moving from race to a less aggressive setting, can help.
