Levo Gen 2 Levo Exteneder Battery/ Warrenty?

Has anyone installed one of the battery extenders and managed to still get warranty work done? I am thinking of getting one but if it voids my 4 year warranty then it is a no go.... I currently have a 500w battery and most of the time it is enough but for those few times I would like to have the option...

I was thinking of installing one too but wasn't aware it could void affect the warranty.

I got a sarcastic e-mail from ridercare yesterday and yes, in short, it will void the warranty

Or could buy a second 500 abs carry it

But then the Specialized shop I got my bike from have also told me If I change any components or upgrade anything different to what was originally on there it will VOID my warranty I have a set of M7 brakes waiting to fit but no sure if to risk it as would have to swap them back if I need warranty ?

I purchased 3 Trailwatts battery extenders for our levo comps and they have worked flawlessly. I can remove it or keep it installed all the time. I never used the water bottle and prefer to carry a camelback setup. Weighs 2.9 pounds and now I have the ability to ride so much further. Absolutely recommend them and takes about 20 minutes to install.

I’ve replaced nearly every component on my bike and never been declined warranty work from my local Specialized concept store. I think they’d only void your warranty if you were opening the motor or adding a non mechanical derestrictor.

We have never been declined any warranty work from Specialized and we have modified several components including brakes, levociraptor, Trailwatts battery extenders, cushcore, etc

Specialized will remove the trailwatts harness to test your components with their diagnostics. Does not void warranty as it’s active electronics with protection built into the module to prevent any harm to factory motor/ battery and TCU.
