Hey
Would really appreciate views on the Levo , whatever I buy I want the 700 wh battery.
Considering 2019 Levo FSR Expert or 2020 Levo FSR and as a long shot a 2019 Comp Carbon at the right price and buy a 700wh battery and sell on the 500wh battery.

Best

I’d go 2019 if discounted enough. I just got a comp Carbon for $5400usd so figured I can upgrade battery if feel needed and upgrade to 36 front. Bonus that the “black” blue carbon frame is stunning in sunlight!

you can do an awful lot on a 500Wh battery if you're not a super heavy person and are willing to work a little.

I weigh 80kg dressed to ride and get 1000m vertical from 500Wh, on turbo full gas so not dawdlling, with me working too.

turn it down - but still climbing quicker or easier than a clockwork bike and I'd get > 3000m. but I'd run out of daylight or legs first.

Spesh's own data supports that most people have more battery than they ever use.

What are your rides like?

I got 19 model June 1000 of upgraded fox 36 forks and hope brakes with the discount. Just got 300 for original forks so I'm happy.

I’ve just parted with a Trek Powerfly LT. Great bike , just fancied going back to a 29er. Looking across the various bike ranges I spotted the 700wh batteries on Levo’s - makes the switch that more justifiable... in my eyes ! Ha. On a 25 mile loop - say twice around Llandegla I would have about a miles range left - 50% of the ride in Eco on my 500wh .I would like to think I can take more on whilst also enjoying what I currently ride with a bigger battery.

Thanks.

Don’t fall victim to range anxiety. 500wh is fine if you don’t ride in Turbo all the time.
Range anxiety is the result of Russians meddling in the Specialized software, so is turbo mode which Specialized makes you think was their idea, but it really was Russian hackers and they don’t know how to turn it off

Was wondering if anyone could advise on how they find the gloss carbon finish holds up in over time ?

I have a dark blue 19 Carbon Comp, bought late July and ridden a lot. I find it scuffs and marks quite easily.

To be fair I'm not gentle on bikes and don't worry about this kind of thing (it's a mountain bike not a Fabergé egg ....) but people who are precious would probably want to do Invisiframe and take up golf.

I actually chose it because I like the colour but I'd have been happy with an alumnium frame too, I think the case for carbon on an e-bike is less strong than a clockwork bike.

The colour varies a lot according to the lighting - it's actually translucent in places and you can see the weave through it. It's usually not as dark as in the stock photos or mine below. (This was fresh from the shop).

Matt finish on Expert easily marked. But yes it's a serious mountain bike. The amount of stones that clatter of the frame from the big tyres on loose down hills woud always be a problem on any bike.

If you want the 700w battery then 2020 Comp aluminium is the best value buy in, better fork than 2019 and resale value being a year younger. My LBS does 15% off retail year around and he tells me Specialised is not discounting 2019 trade prices to retailers at this stage so no across the board 30% old model discounting as we see from time to time.

walked in to my lbs Saturday had three or four 2020 Levo comps in all colours £5499.00 without asking 15% discount £4675.00 with a 700w battery and better spec would go for the 2020.

That's an absolute bargain for a 2020 this early. Might have to drive down ?
