I was running Eddie currents F&R, but as I’m not particularly gifted in staying upright, I found that the front was a bit too aggressive for Cannock Chase, so I moved to a Minion DHF on the front, I personally prefer the grip I get from the maixxis on the front (round Cannock, where it has larger amounts of pebbles on the trails). The rear Eddie is outstanding on crazy ego techie hill climbs.

I am loving my DHR2/DHF 2.6 tires, but I can't stand not knowing if they are the best or not. I am in USA New England with mostly hard packed forest trails. Sometimes I hit roads with loose gravel. I am often on wet roots or rocks.

I am interested in Wild Enduro, but they are not available in larger than 2.3 inches actual width, and that is a turnoff for me.

So then there is Magic Mary and Eddy Current. Is there any reason to get Magic Mary when Eddy Current now exists? Is there any chance that Wild Enduro are better (I doubt it)?

I mounted a Michelin Wild Enduro set in 2.4. The are wide enough for sure.
Awesome looking and endless grip.

Clearance is fine but I can’t run the fender I want in the rear. Sans fender it’s perfect

Had a puncture in rear butcher, so taken it as a good time to rip it off & replace it. Couldn’t find any 29er E-Wilds which looked interesting, so have gone for a rear Eddy Current as it does seem the most popular choice on this thread

I run a Butcher Grid 2.6 on the front at 21 PSI and an Eliminator Blck Dmnd 2.6 out back at 25.
Stock Roval wheels running tubeless with Cushcore both ends as well. Just over 3000km ridden in the last year, mostly trail and bike park, and only one burped tyre - not bad for a 125kg rider making some terrible line choices.

Just replaced my 2020 stock 2.6 Butcher/Eliminator tyres with Maxxis DHF 2.5 / DHR II 2.4 Max Terra Exo. Way happier, grip is amazing and I feel no penalty in rolling speed.

Surprised to find that the Eddy Current seem to size up slightly smaller than the Butchers they replaced...

I find that making sure the tyres are warm before trying to fit them helps enormously, either by lying them in the sun or in my case leaving them to soak in hot water for 30-45 minutes before fitting.
...I had fit to my Eddy Current twice, after I realised the rim tape had failed on my wheel
