This is a fast, rough down. Speeds of over 30mph/48kph came be achieved. It's the end of summer and it's pretty jacked up. At the bottom it gets ripple bumps. It'll just about vibrate your hands off the bars. Now you know why I bitch about small bump compliance. Who cares huh? Fun stuff. Anyway he appears around second 47, the suicide squirrel. The camera starts to fall foward from the vibration. It was perfect, just in time to catch him. I'm probably booking in the mid 20s. I slowed that part down so you could see the little booger.

No animals were harmed! Yay!

Not wanting to get into the rigmarole of everyone's personal preferences, but do you have compression damping fully open ?
Yeah fully. It's right where I start to feather the brakes and scrub a little speed. The suspension is already loaded. Back off the binders a bit and it mellows out. The first time I blazed that down was on a 24lb. Intense Sniper. 100mm of travel front and rear, 32mm stanchions. I thought my teeth were going to rattle out. It's one of those "Oh shit!" little downhills, we call it "the tester".

I get a mad squirrel on every ride. They always run across rather than away.

A bit like walkers, you can guarantee when a group see you they will all criss cross in front of you rather than move to the side they are on.
