Leatt Body Armor - Tall and Skinny Sizing?

Hello, I'm looking to snag some Leatt body armor for my emtb adventures and I'm trying to figure out their sizing, specifically their Airflex series.
I'm 6'3" and 178lbs and their sizing recommendation is 2XL, which seems huge to me. Does anyone here have experience with Leatt body armors? Are they true to size?

Any help would be appreciated.

Its based on height, the main change being the size of the back protector, so i would suggest following their guidelines.

I'm 6' 5" about 220 and on me the XXL is a little loose around the shoulders. I think I should have sized down.

Interesting, they had absolutely nothing like this on their website lol.

According to these measurements I'm a L/XL, the Airflex series only comes in Large and XL so I suppose a Large would be proper?

@cozy has it right...I would add that out of all the protective zones the spine protection is the most important and whilst height is the best guide for sizing, also take into account whether you are fairly equally proportioned in terms of feet to hips and hips to shoulders. So for example I am 6ft but long legged with a shorter torso so i went down a size from recommendations.

I have long legs but my torso length is pretty "short", approximately 54cm long if I'm measuring my back in a straight line.
I agree on the back protection but my biggest concern is ensuring the shoulder pads stay put, honestly.

I know right! It was in the manual. I was searching for useful info and reading reviews when trying to determine the size. This chart would have helped.
Actually now ive double checked it was the airfit lite i purchased, so of course the airflex could well be different.

Yes I see they hide the actual measurements in a documentation PDF at the bottom of the page. Sometimes I wonder about Leatt.
Btw do you like your Airfit Lite? I'm looking at the 3DF Airfit Lite EVO but I'm wondering if it's too swampy for MTB. I'm tempted to get that in a Large just to test.

I have the Leatt airflex stealth T'shirt in a large which is a snug fit.

I'm 5'9" (mostly torso ) and the same weight but "athletic" build.

Thanks, most of my height is in my legs too so I've ordered a size large. Hopefully that'll do that trick

I recently went through all this as well. I am 6'5 and 176 lbs. I have always liked Leatt gear and tried on lots of their range plus other brands because of our unique body shape. It's very risky to order online so I recommend going to as many mountain bike/ motorbike stores you have access to and Just try them on first.
