Quick question: What's the largest tyre anyone has got on a Reaction Hardtail? I've been running skinny 2.25" for a while now but would like to go to 2.35" or 2.4". Any comments on frame clearance or rim width?

I got a good price on Maxxis Forekaster 2.35", which should fit no problems anyway.

Which year are we talking about? My 2018 reaction HT came with 2.3 tyres whereas my wife's 2019 came with 2.6 as standard - but that has wider forks and more chainstay clearance. I don't think I could quite fit 2.6 tyres on mine, not that I'd want to.

It's easier to calculate if you use the metric Etrto system. A 2.4 can be from 57 to 63mm wide depending on brand and model.
With a pencil mark on the frame with the existing tyre it's widest points.
Remove wheel and measure with a ruler.
Unless you are riding heavy wet mud take 3mm a side away.
