KSL Underperforming

Has anyone else noticed a drop in performance over time from their KSL or LSL? One of my riding buddies who is similar weight and fitness had a new motor recently and now I have to use Turbo to keep up with him in Trail.
@Bearing Man have you seen anything like this?

No, both 1.1. AFAIK, Spesh won't upgrade a 1.1 to a 1.2 even out of warranty.

My mrs was saying she thought her 1.1 Kap was not a ‘powerful’ today, the bike is just over a year old with a few thousand miles of Bpw pedalup behind it

@Bearing Man have you seen anything like this?

Gradual power loss is not something we know of in a good motor. However, motors with failing bearings, stiff or corroding gearing will feel less and less powerful as the power is robbed by friction within the motor itself. Also, check wheel bearings, brake drag, tyre pressures etc.
Because these are relatively low powered motors, any slight drag will be felt.

Take the chain off & spin the cranks? Mine was noticeably stiffer after I got it back from @Bearing Man . Must have been pleased to see him.
