With my wife Shiho we live in Hakuba running accomadation focussed on MTB and Snowsports, own a gallery, clothing company and gift shop amongst other things and love getting out on our MTBs. We dont own eMTB as yet but hope to next spring all going OK. Have been following Rob on youtube and FB and thought I best sign up here too. Thanks for the add Rob and crew.

Welcome!

How far from Tokyo are you? I quite often travel there with work and would love to add on a long weekend skiing.

Hi Jimbob. Its approx 90mins on the express shinkansen and then about an hour by bus. Really easy trip and with 10 resorts in our valley something for everyone terrain wise. :)

Sounds like you have your Worklife / lifestyle well sorted there mate ?
I didn't know there was an "Alps" mountain range in Japan so looked it up ...the place looks beautiful...and you are going to love riding it on an ebike .
Are you still pondering what to get or do you have a clear idea as to which ebikes you are going for ?
Post some pics of the place ..just to make me a little more jealous !

Ohayo and welcome to forum.

Hakuba is a well known place to me, but only in winter. Been there about ten times for skiing. Maybe some day also for mtb, who knows.

Yeah, g'day mate - or should I say Konbanwa.
Lovely area you are in. Passed through there on a road trip loop from Tokyo through Guna, Joetsu, Nagoya and back.

Ah excellent, if and when you come back reach out and lets grab a beer. We have an increasing number of guests that come back for 'green season' now and love it. My favourite sport is snowboarding but love being here in summer too. Its just such a beautiful place.
