I've just joined the forums (although I've been lurking for quite some time).

I've been an e-bike fan for several years. I have a Merida commuter I use for trips to & from work. Now my wife has a new Trek Rail, I'm so jealous and want my own Rail!

Here she is with her new e-MTB...

Love riding at The Redwoods.. only just ordered my Rail7..due in a couple of months .. looking forward to it but also a little nervous about the switch from analogue.. as a senior rider I know it will be better ….but i do so enjoy my Specialised even if I’m slow on the climbs!!

@AFNZ You will find it totally awesome. Not only will the climbs be a lot quicker and much more fun, but the Rail will be a lot more planted on the fast runs.
BTW - I am of the belief Old Chevy was built 20 years before its time .... like it was built with ebikes in mind.

Ahh… haven’t ridden Old Chevy for years .. great to know its a such a good ride. We’ll not back up your way until Labour weekend - if the new bikes arrive at end Sept as planned. . My fav rides on my Specialised are Tokorangi and Eagle v Shark… will be keen to see how they ride with the Trek. Thanks for the encouragement
