Hi everyone!
Got a Specalized Kenevo SL 2023
Got a big dent on my rear wheel yesterday!
Thinking to make an upgrade while i am at it..

What do you guys think about, -

Crankbrothers Synthesis E11​

I9 Hydra hub

Should work out fine, although it’s not a proper e bike rim?

DT SWISS H1700 are good rims that are e-bike adapted and weigh only 150 g each.
available in both 30 and 35 mm inner rim width

I have these rims and have ridden a lot of enduro and bike park so they have got alot of hard hits but still hold up really well.

I don't think carbon fiber rims are a good idea on an e-bike. if it's the weight you're looking to reduce, the slightly more expensive aluminum rims weigh roughly the same as the carbon rims

Not really into weight that much, want to try out the feel of it and been reading of them a lot, sounds promising!

Hm, the bike is only 19kg and I am 76kg.
Also, the s works comes with carbon..

don't think you will feel any big difference other than that carbon is maybe a little stiffer and a little lighter.


recommend these if you want carbon.

Been running the WAO Convergence Triads on my KSL with Hydra hubs. Far superior to the stock wheelset. Highly recommend.

CB synthesis E11 with I9 hydra hubs, got 35% discount, so couldn’t resist

I found carbon rims too harsh. Sure they are Gucci but alloy feels a lot nicer to me. DT EX471. Tough rim. You could build it onto the original hub.
Gwin rode 3/4 of a WC DH on a rear 471 with no tyre on it. It survived. Want wide? See 511
