Kenevo expert when motor is off. Feels like motor resistance?

If I have the motor turned all the way down it bikes ok, but if I turn the battery completly off it feels like I am on a old spinning bike with the resistance turned waaay up. Even on the flat i will be outrun by a casual jogger or even a powerwalker. THis doesnt feel right? Am I regenerating the battery or something?
In turbo it runs like a beast and I leave most other none-e bikers in the dust in the uphills on the road (and even on the flats)

Oh and I also have a red light on the battery (the last light)

Buys an ebike, rides with it switched off ?‍♂️
I just don’t get it.
The only noticeable difference would be the extra 12kg and the resistance of the wider 2.8 tyres.
Ever ridden a fat bike ? You feel the weight and resistance till you build some speed.

I can see how it might sound crazy but I almost always ride with my bike off. I ride with non ebiker's and we ride at a slow clip and average 10-15 miles a ride on trails with climbing. Motor gets turned on to explore or if I don't feel 100%. Nothing better than having someone say your cheating then replying should I turn the bike on? As for the the resistance when pedaling i don't know how strong your legs are but one selling point of this motor is how it can be peddled like a normal bike with no resistance. I'd place the bike upside down and try peddling with your hands and make sure everything spins freely and make sure the front wheel spins free also.

I like it when accused of cheating. I just engage turbo and shoot off shouting cheating like a fox... Byeeeeeeeeeee!

I noticed it when I was out of power and turned off the battery to stop draining it to low;) Yes I was expecting it to be harder/slower without the motor/battery turned on, but this much? Yes its 10kg more than my old bike and has 27+ instead of the old 26. But I wouldn't expect it ro be this hard? That doesn't explain my now two red lights on the battery though :S
