Hi all,

Kenevo 2019 Comp model

I wonder if someone else has had this. According to the user manual:
"At 10% battery charge remaining, the system will start to reduce the amount of support. At 1%, the system switches off the motor support."

However, mine switched off support with 16% left according to Mission Control and the last two LEDs on the battery were steady red. Mission Control showed no faults. I had a very big hill to get up too!!!

Previously, I've been able to ride it with support even when the last LED is flashing red (i.e. less than 10% remaining) and as far as I can remember eventually the battery turns off completely at the same time as motor support stops.

Motor firmware is 7.1.1 and battery firmware is 2.18.A.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Never had that. Reduced support as stated and eventually switching off, but never with that much battery left.

I'm still on the older 5.0.4 firmware and A.17.1 on the battery though.

Maybe the battery BMS hit the low voltage cut off point and turned it off (or a cell was lower than the others and triggered something) Strange that you still had two lights and Mission Control showing 16% though, you would imagine it would all be using the same values.

If you have access to one, you could try the same thing with a different battery, it's most likely this is where the problem is, the equivalent of the newer TCU all resides within the battery on the older bikes.

Thanks @Zimmerframe. The two lights means 10-19%, so is consistent with Mission Control but obviously not with the cut-off. I suspect your right and its something in the battery. Which is now out of warranty & I haven't another to try. Sounds like I don't have much choice except go to the dealers or live with it or buy a new battery. Just needed someone to confirm it!! Cheers.
