The fact they include the extender battery in a lot of the photos tells me a lot...

They state 75kg rider will/should get 40-50km's or 1000mtres climbing on he battery so very likely most will need the 160W range extender WHICH adds another 500 onto the price AND 980grams weight.

That being the case for ALOT (Me included) buyers I see the bike as a 50Nm, 480W ebike that weights 18.9-19.3-19.9kg (RR SL- RR- R) and actually will cost you 500 over quoted rrp. So in real terms that gives you prices of £7300, £9000 and £11000.

SIDENOTE- IF you are happy with a 24kg or 22.7kg full power ebike then you can now buy a 2023 Carbon Crafty RR for £6999 or a 2023 Carbon Crafty RR SL for £7999.

I’ll never understand it. Where do you carry your water bottle when your water bottle holder space is occupied with a range extender? I know you can ride with a hip pack or backpack, but for me they carry additional bottles to swap out the one in the frame when it gets empty. Is everyone really using bladders? Also, isn’t it better to get a “real” second battery for a quick swap in the car or even carry it in your backpack rather than a small range extender?

Oh wow, I totally missed that. And it fits a 600 ml Fidlock. Great solution!

Not only does the Neat hold 2 water bottles, but really if you have a day that you need the RE, you almost certainly would need a hydration pack so the loss of a bottle holder doesn't seem to matter.
I don't ever need more than about 55% of my Relay's battery.
For my needs, this new Neat sounds like the ideal E- bike however I'll be on my Relay for at least 2 years.
