Hi All
Newbie here again and just thought I'd post an update...
It was Day 13 of Lock Down and the Shed was on the list of jobs... behind the selection of forks and spades and saws that get dumped was both my wife's old bikes.... that's how this all started.
I took the Sarecen and off we went to the village shop (I will say we live in a perfect part of the world in the country and are totally spoilt). Having made up my mind and sort of cleared it with the boss I started the search for my first eMtb.
In the mean time, we have kept up with the village shop milk deliveries and have tinkered with the old gal - Saracen that is... I stopped the scratch of the breaks with the old school boy trick of turning the brake blocks up side down, worked a treat, not a whistle.... although then found I couldn't stop

Here she is.....

Here we go - just spent 4 hours trying to put everything together - the joys of internet shopping!
Think we have done the Sag but not a clue on the other and the rebound... tomorrows chores.
For all you experienced guys, what haven't I done before first ride tomorrow??

The Focus Jam2 is still the best looking e-mtb in my opinion, I'm torn over a new Jam2 or Whyte for my next bike...

First ride today, so in theory, apart from 3 minutes on a mates bike, first time on an e-bike!! Certainly takes a bit of getting use to although got comfortable with the controls fairly quick. Down to the shop (in the absolute pouring rain - Dear Santa, please send mud guards pdq!) so all road but went up and down the power modes and quickly worked out that 25kmh isn't that fast...so a little down beat...But, coming back which has some half good gradients was amazing.
See felt my legs working but this time my lungs weren't busting out me chest - Now I get it!
It was only a ½ hour blast but now looking at our dog walks in a new light and seeing which paths are footpaths and which are byways :sneaky:.
I'm sure I need to sort the sus better but it'll come as will everything else. Eager to see a dry day tomorrow!!

Looks like your Dork disc is still on the back (the clear plastic disc just inside the cassette); probably easier to remove it now if you have a cassette tool and chain whip whilst everything is squeeky clean! Other than checking the shifting on the stand and charging it up I wouldn't bother doing anything, just enjoy your first ride.

And take the little red caps off the quick release! Dork disc you should be able to cut off with some snips or similar
