Is there an XL size frame for the Shimano E8000 motor and E8010 battery?

Hi All.

I have a Merida eONE SIXTY 900E, size large. It was purchased used and it seems it wasn't sold in Australia in an XL frame size. But at 6' 3" tall, an XL frame size is probably a better choice.

The eONE SIXTY 500SE and the 800SE was sold here in Oz in XL frame. Those frames are identical, except size of course, to the one used on the 900E. But I've been snagged by Merida Australia. They don't supply frames to Retailers. Apparently they are only available for warranty claims. It's a shame for me.

So......is there an aftermarket frame in size XL that would accept the E8000 motor and E8010 battery? My plan would be to swap all the components from the 900E to the new frame. A trail orientated frame would be fine for my intended use.

Good advice appreciated.

Thanks.

Just sell the bike and buy another one in XL. What you are proposing doesn't make much sense to me. :)

Well.......I highly suspect a 2018 Merida E160E would be difficult to sell for reasonable money. And it wouldn't be surprising if the bike is worth much more to me than I'm likely to be offered.

All the components are still in very good condition. And I like the external battery. 99% of the eMTB population probably don't. I'd just like a larger frame.

Hence scouting to see if anyone knew any more than my Googling could uncover i.e. zilch.

My other frustration is Merida Australia do have a candidate frame in XL, but they won't sell it to me through a Retailer. They only keep frames for warranty claims!

Why anyone would buy a used Merida here in Australia is beyond me.
