Levo Gen 3 is the M2 series battery the one I need for a Gen 3 Levo?

I'm looking to buy a 2nd battery, is the M2 the correct one for Gen3 levo and will it need firmware updating or anything?

Basically for Gen3 Levo you need M3-500/700 battery, which is the same as M2-500/700 except different rockguard, so if you get M2-700 you also need to replace rockguard kit for Gen3 version ...
