I am NOT, I repeat NOT looking to alter max speed setting in Walk Assist mode, I just want to get rid of the nanny that seems to be interfering.

Was fortunate enough to be able to snag a new eMTB using the EP801 Shimano motor, coming from the E8000 motor. The issue dujour is walk assist and how it is modulating power. With the E8000 motor, I controlled how the motor could drag me along by choosing a higher or lower gear. With the EP801, no matter what gear I choose, all I get is an anemic level of pull and the speed seems limited to around 2 mph.

Is there a way to adjust when and/or how Intelligent Walk Assist intervenes?

no power or too much after a while, not intuitive and possibly random.
PREcisely!!! I was just working on the bike and tried it with the bike up on the stand. On my DU8000, it just goes. It moves the wheel slower in taller gears and FASTER in higher gears. No muss no fuss. The EP801 was entirely unpredictable. In higher gears the tire had to have a load on it to get it to move.
