Installed the SC reserve wheels as part of the weight dropping programme for my 2019 Expert. Total weight saved

is now 1.5kg vs OEM

The reserve wheels/tires contributed 500grms

Will be installing the 160mm air spring to bring the bike back up

Any noticeably difference in the ride? I have SC reserve rims (27.5x27mm) on my other bike and was thinking of putting them on my Levo (2019 Expert) for a test ride but my biggest concern is the significant drop in BB height. My local trails are rocks and roots and pedal strikes are a way of life. What else did you did you change to drop the other 1kg?

I have some 30mm ones ready to go onto my kenevo once I buy some 2.6 instead of 2.8 tyres & get an xd driver cassette.
Im hoping the reason I hated my harsh bronson the wheels came off wasnt due to the carbon wheels in the first place!

Biggest contributors were
swapping battery for a 500wh - 700grm
Praxis carbon cranks - 110grm
Renthal bar/stem - 180grm

...and with the 1.5kg (~3.3lbs) drop in weight, is the handling noticeably different. I'm asking because I had similar aspirations. Having said that, after owning the bike for 8 weeks, the motor makes up for much of the weight of e-mtbs in general.

first ride will be this weekend. having said that..all the things i changed, i would have done so anyway...the weight reduction is a nice bonus.

My ride buddy and I use a car rack..lifting his 18 sworks, which is almost 2k heavier needs 2 of us...mine can be lifted solo. A 18 expert is almost 3kg heavier..that is substantial amount of weight to lift around

I ride my manual Yeti on weekdays, Levo on weekends...the change in weight really throws me off sometimes
