Install Shimano fc-m8150 XT e bike crank, on commencal meta power TR Discussion

The original E13 crank arm fell off on a shuttle day. Lucky the crank spindle form the Shimano ep8 has no signs of cracks.
Just the crank arm thread was rounded, and it had no preload cap on


So bought some new XT cranks and now can't put the preload cap on....
There plastic blocking, I take it from the E13 spindle...
How do Install the cranks, do I not use the preload cap...

Any help would be greatly appreciated 👍

From the photo, you need to remove whats left of the original preload cap, that will then expose the threads to use the new cap.
