Importing Bosch bike to USA

If I import a Bosch bike to USA from EU, is there anyway to get the speed limit reset for the higher speed. It is a KTM and there are no KTM bike dealers in the US.

I was under the impression that it was set by the Bosch software. Why not email Bosch directly and ask them?

Bosch says no, the speed limit cannot be reset in the USA.

AFAIK, no. I did the same thing (imported a Bosch-powered KTM bike) and had to have it derestricted with a Speedbox. I have since sold that bike since I could get zero support for it here in the USA. Don't do it would be my advice. Plenty of equally capable bikes that you can buy in the USA. You'll also get slammed with import fees and a very expensive shipping cost.

There used to be a "KTM Bikes USA", but they folded AFAIK. Short version: just don't do it. Find another manufacturer.
