I tried to climb the Old Man of Coniston on a real emtb, no throttle, it destroyed me.

For anyone who just can't help jump in and complain about the "throttle" comments ... just watch the video and maybe try to be positive instead of negative. Life's too short ! :)

How many times have we heard on bike forums of riders dissing ebikes claiming 'oh just get fit' and other silly comments. NO WAY could that be ridden on a non Ebike. Not a chance in hell. Unbelievably tough climb. I was knackered just watching it

And some spectacular scenery.

Googles 'Retrofit throttles' :ROFLMAO:

Well people have ridden up the Walna Scar road on non ebikes ..(which the majority of that ride was )
I've pushed up most of it on a non ebike from both directions ..I can't say that I've been in the presence of anyone who has cleared it ( WSR ) but have seen them ride most of it .
With regard to getting up the Old Man of Coniston..that was always doomed to failure..and it's a footpath not a bridleway ..but hey-ho ..I'm not going to get all righteous about that ...I don't exactly follow the rules myself at times ..
Fantastic scenery though .

My went right over the bars on the steepest bit and I didnt have the camera on, hes a wiry chap and just bounced straight back on the bike.
The descent was very loose indeed over those rocks.

Thats basically what I ride. A few spots were definitely more slippy but yeah. Ebikes definitely make something that would be almost impossible far more enjoyable. It annoys me when I see people talk about boost like its just a fat man's setting. Clearly you haven't tackled a trail that is super steep with a deep rock bed.

I think a large part of the problem is that is so loose. With the rocks and stones moving around under you, traction is the problem. If that were just packed dirt, it would be far easier, right?

Yes, but it is VERY steep, the gopros flatten hills , If it was tarmac, a fit road rider could easily make it
