I heard you liked mudguards

So I put a mudguard on my mudguards..



I've fitted a RRP ProGuard Bolt-On front mudguard, large mudhugger rear mudguard, and a cheapy RRP enduro guard rear mudguard.

on the photo above is also a Giant Uniclip saddle mounted rear mudguard, but I've taken that off.

I went for a 15 mile night ride last night in very muddy conditions.

The front guard is excellent at preventing spray getting in your face, although it does seem to funnel all the water onto your feet.

The rear doesnt really do much to keep mud off the bike, but does keep your back clean for the most part. It does look absolutely terrible though

Have a similar set up on my E sommet, had a few uncomplimentary comments when I first fitted. Amazing how attitudes change when it gets wet and muddy, one by one my fellow riders are fitting them ?.

I have RRP large front and the standard rear. This is after a 15-20 miler a couple of days ago. OP is right about the bolt on front. It keeps the mud from the face/chest (which is most important to me, sorry no pic) but the bike still gets covered........as do the legs/back/helmet.

The rear RRP is designed to protect the bike/linkages/etc rather than the rider - the bigboy mud hugger is really the only mudguard that does a half decent job of keeping crap off the rider

That mud guard need a rag hung from it like the builders do on the vans before someone crashes into it ?joking aside I bet it works well tho

I've just swapped the rear mudguard with the one on this thread:

I looks slightly better, and is easier to fit / remove in summer.

I've not tried it yet, but I'll give it a go once it stops pissing it down.
