I fixed error code 550.

Got error code 550 on kiox display with my cx motor. Power was cutting out and wasn't charging the kiox. My friend whose an electrical engineer suggested using a hair dryer on and around the motor cos fault was probably due to water damage. I took the plastic cover off and blew on the motor for about 20mins. And miraculously it worked. Bikes working normal again ,I'm well happy. This is genuine not a wind up. My motors 4 years old but only done 1800 miles on touring mode only.

When I reinstalled the motor , (Bosch CX Gen4), for the first time, I applied a small amount of dielectric grease around the ribs of the rubber seal only on each motor plug (4).

If the wiring harness is good (not pinched or broken), I would suspect the main electrical connection between the battery and wiring harness (lower bulkhead). A battery adjustment procedure may be necessary for a good electrical connection. Any vibration may cause some temporary poor connection at this point.

Drying these electrical sockets would certainly help.

Just fixed apersistent 550 error code on Bosch system of low mileage Riese and Muller German Emtb. Turns out the Supernova head lamp was misprogrammed to 21 W instead of 16 W which is correct for the Bosch sys. Supernova in Germany were Super helpful and patient...using the cc from their manual the reprogramming took 1 min., and saved me $$$ in gas +labor time to take the bike into the nearest official Bosch service shop. Great job Supernova!
