Since it snowed last night and was only just above zero, I decided to play around in the workshop rather than ride today and came up with my first prototype “hugger”. It was for my Kenevo, but would work on a Levo and might be particularly useful on the 2019 Levo, which I believe, has a problem with mud and debris ending up in the motor. I find rubber from a car inner tyre (not common but most garages will give you one) very useful and versatile - thick enough to hold its shape but flexible enough to work with moving suspensions. I’ve made several for motorbikes to protect the rear shock. The rubber is fixed with duct tape. I know it’s not that pretty but if it works well I’ll tidy it up a bit. It should protect the suspension bearings, keep any mud or water out of the motor and make it easier to clean that area. I hope the attached photos make it obvious what to do.

Was just looking at this again and the first picture was confusing my eye at first glance , then realised there was a second bike ...

Good temporary solution for the 19 Levo's without the factory patch kit (whatever it's called .. The sponge bob fix ?)

Did you re-do it with double sided tape instead of duct tape ? Or try just duct tape instead of the inner tube and hope the duct tape would flex sufficiently?

No, it’s one bike (Kenevo). Duck tape was just to hold the rubber in place. I hadn’t thought of double sided tape, which would look neater but might no be so secure. It’s been on over the winter and has worked well so far - easier to clean and no mud or water around motor

But there's a Levo ? behind it ? At first I thought there was a mirror or something :)

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear it's working well ! That's insane that the duct tape has stayed in place !!

I looked at the photo again - you are exactly right - it is my wife's Levo behind - you know your bikes!
In my experience, you can fix most things with duck tape. However, recently I've discovered that the tape that professionals use for sealing vapor barrier insulation in lofts etc is even more sticky and tough than duck tape, so If I have something that really needs fixing, I'll use that.
