I have this Ztto dropper lever, and it's pretty good. However, it rattles a bit, and the actuation could be smoother. Fortunately, both of these issues can be easily fixed, and I'll show you how.

First, you need to sand the top of the colored bottom cap (mine is grey):

You need to remove enough material so that these two parts don't touch:

Make sure that the lever is not installed when checking the gap. Use only the bottom cap, the bearing, and the upper part.

Next, you need to sand the bottom part of the lever so that it doesn't touch the colored bottom cap.

The main reason the lever is rattling is that the bearing isn't press-fitted inside, and can move freely. To fix this, you need to glue it inside. Apply a small drop of super glue inside the lever and insert the bearing inside, making sure to push it all the way in.

Be careful not to use too much glue, or you might glue the bearing shut.

Now, you can assemble the whole thing and give it a try. Mine was still rubbing in a couple of places. I sanded them down, as shown here:

Now, everything is as smooth as it can be, and the rattle is gone :)

Nice post. It's good when people share this like this for the community.

The gluing bearing bit made me slightly concerned (what if it needs removing in future?) but the rest looks good!.

Yeah, that might not be the best solution, I'm open for suggestions. I haven't tried, but I think you should be able to remove it by tapping with a small hammer or using a bearing puller, and using a bit of acetone. If that doesn't work, you'll need to get a new lever. The good news is it only costs 12$.

that's a lot of work for just not buying a wolftooth remote pro in the first place
? That took less than an hour. You only need some sandpaper and super glue. Plus the Ztto dropper is 1/8 the price

Nope. Been running them on two different bikes for four years, Smooth, easy to use no issues. The only thing I did from new was take the seal off the bearing and added some more grease.
You must have got a bad one.

Could be. To be fair, it was pretty good out of the box but now it's flawless. And it's a pretty easy mod so it's worth it, imho.

Had mine a couple of years and also no problems with the ZTTO. Trickiest part was attaching it to the bar mount as it's a pig to line up the set screw correctly from underneath as the bobbin slides around due to the slot.

Amount of vertical play:

Modded:

With stock red bottom part:

Unfortunatelly, I didn't make a video with the lever fully stock.
