Hope tech levers on Shimano calipers

is there anyway Hope tech Duo 3 levers can be used on Shimano calipers?

I have the new Haibike Allmtn 10, which comes with Shimano XT brakes
I have a hand disability with my left hand from a car crash 25 years ago, and can't use left brake lever safely.

On my old E-bike I have special Hope tech Duo levers, which has both brake levers on righthand side.
I want to change this over from old bike to new bike.
But because the Shimano XT brakes seem really nice, I wondered if it was possible to just change the duo levers over?
Also be easier/faster to do this

I know that my Hope brakes run dot 5.1 fluid, and Shimano use mineral oil.
Could I just use Mineral oil in the Hope levers, so that the Shimano calipers and seals are happy.

For those that don't know, this is the Hope tech 3 Duo levers
twin levers, with twin reservoirs, for fully independent brakes on same side

Put all of the Shimano system onto your old bike and put all of the old Hope system onto your new bike.
Do you think that is possible without changing the lines?
As will need to remove the motor on both bikes to do the rear line I think.

The other issue is the hope floating discs on old bike are 6 bolt.
The shimano ice tech disc's on new bike use a lock ring rather than bolts

If they use the same fluid as each other then why not use the same lines? It would sure make swapping over a simpler matter.

When I said "all the of the ...system" I was meaning levers and callipers, not the discs as well. my bad for not being more specific. :giggle:

Edit: It has just occurred to me that I am assuming that the lines are the same diameter as each other and can be used on both Hope and Shimano. I've never had Hope brakes, so I just don't know. Buy you were going to mix them up, so that is why I assumed all would be well.

They don't use same fluid. Shimano use mineral oil, Hope use fully synthetic dot 5.1

I guess I'm going to have to change the whole lot over apart from the disc's due to them being different fitment style

I don't understand why the way the disc (6-bolt vs lock ring) are fitted is a problem.

6 hole discs can be fitted with a centrelock adaptor to fit centre lock wheels
however it’s not reverse compatible, there’s no adaptor to convert centrelock to 6 hole.

Id check the hose specs for size and give a thorough flush and refit with new olive & inserts

You can't use Hope floating discs with a microspline to 6 bolt adaptor as the back of the disc is recessed (the recess is a smaller diameter than the adaptor, you could machine it but....) and also on the front of the disc, each of the 6 bolts holes are recessed too. The problem with the 6 recessed bolt holes is the lockring (for the microspline) use the boltheads to locate it, so the lockring can lock against it. Normal "flat" discs work well, ie the Hope HD discs or std discs, or any other flat style disc.
