Hope's main two design remits seem to be
  1. the requirement of specific tools only Hope make to fit and remove their overly complicated not very well made parts
  2. That a hammer is also required.

WTF is "boutique" about Hope ?

I probably own more Hope parts than you have bike parts period!

Maybe. UK-made (made a few miles from where I’m sat now by enthusiasts), CNC machined parts are different to mass produced stuff like Shimano. However I’m not the one making a judgement over which is better. I own both.

It’s ok to have different opinions. It’s Friday, have a good weekend mate.

How do you reckon this ensures good quality, manufacture or design?

Handy when you need to borrow their hammer I suppose ;)

I think id buy a pair if they had something for shimano steps. Im hesitant to buy carbon cranks to get something shorter
