I went with a garmin edge with a sram overstem mount. Has an add on app that shows Levo power level, battery etc. you can change power level from it if you are on a 2016/17. I use the other remote switch available. It works with Strava segments, heart rate, and of course other typical bike computer info.

I think it’s a clean set up. Tucks the pricey gizmo out of the way in the event of stepping off the bike. Also allows me to run my light in the center out front.

Also a nice setup for bike computer in general regardless of bike.

I enjoy my commencal meta power race size XL with a reach of 481. They currently have the fox version in stock. You could save thousands and still have top of the line components and modern geo. Most of the ebikes on the market are too small in reach numbers.

META POWER - Shop

The kenevo and pivot shuttle look good on paper, but were not available at the time of purchase last year.

So went to another lbs to look at kenevo and maybe buy it. Salesperson really screwed me up again. they just became a pivot dealer and said they should have some in about 12 days to demo. Think im going to wait and see how that bike rides and then make decision.

The shuttle was euro only, now available in the states. It seems overpriced and only 140mm rear travel.

I am interested to hear how they compare. Make sure you try each power mode on both bikes when on the demo.

Dont forget the Fantic Integra. They are now available in the US, and I got to test ride the 180mm (carbon) and 160mm (aluminum) models. Demo one before you buy. The are an Italian based company, but they also have an distribution center in Sausalito, Ca

Getting a demo levo today and going to ride today and tomorrow. I will report back. Can i use the mission control app with a demo bike?

Where are you riding? Me and a buddy are riding Rockville or Tamarancho tomorrow morning.

Youre welcome to join if you wanna try an Emtb shredfest.

Hi, I share you confusion on what to buy having just settled on s a purchase.

Was swaying betwen focus jam/sam and Merida one sixty 900e.

Wasn’t that impressesed with the fit of the jam when I see it in the flesh, never got to inspect a Merida.

So what did I get? Specialised turbo FSR Carbon comp, best motor according to ebike mag and recently won best bike 2018 in recent tests.

Must admit didn’t even consider it till I read the mag. Am I happy? Yep like a pig in muck, it’s quiet, feels like a proper bike when I run it in eco mode, seems to be built like a tank, and on my first run did 9.4 miles on 10% battery!

Can’t get better then that can it?

Don’t worry about he display he garmin Levo app will do all you need I’m a mad techie to and the garmin app together with the mission control app from specialised with give you all the tech fix you need and more, much more then any other imo.

Thanks, where do you ride? That’s what I was thinking about the motor. I wanna try the Bosch and Yamaha and see what I like better
I forgot to mention the pretty much the most important spec: Frame Geometry

I love to ride technical DH, and long flow trails. I usually ride Camp Tamarancho, Oat Hill Mine (Calistoga), Rockville, Del Valle, UCSC, etc.. Any riding spots that are within 2 hour drive is fair game to me.

so just took it on a short dirt trail near my house. It is not the carbon levo by the way. Power is great, Handling not so much. Also the brakes are extremely soft. Bike is too heavy for my wife. she was afraid it would not stop for her. I think i need to wait to see if a carbon demo comes available.

Ok so todays ride was a much harder trail. Got a little more comfortable on bike. Climbing was a breeze, still seems really heavy. Hit a couple of jumps and it was a little scary cause so heavy. not used to that. I think i am going to wait for the pivot shuttle and might look at S works levo. I think the shop said the pivot is about 43lbs and so is s works. the bike i rode they said was about 52lbs. 10 lbs i think would make a huge difference in ride.

Is it the base mode Levo?

Yes it was the base model. I can't find a dealer that has the higher end model to demo. The first shop was going to give me last years base models and i had to say no because that would not give it a fair shot. I am going to look and call around this week to see i i can find one near me. I tell them its not like a rental i wanna buy one and find out which one.

Thanks everyone for all the help. I pulled the trigger and got a S-works levo. thinking bout getting a garmin to display everything.
thanks again
Consider the Garmin Fenix 5 just replaces my edge 1000 less likely to damage it as it’s on ya wrist not the bike and still runs the garmin Levo dara field for mode and battery powe plus links to cadence and generated power from the bike

Ok so i got the edge 1030. I have it connected to the bike but if i try to add something to one of the map screens i get the message. Hold edge flat against LEV. Clear pairing with GCM or GE. I can't figure out what to do? the last map screen shows the bike and what mode i am in and if i change modes it changes, or i can change the mode from the edge.
Thanks

I wanted to check in to see if you had any better luck with the edge 1030 set-up. Thanks

No luck at all. It is strange cause on the last screen i can see and change the mode and see battery level. If i choose battery level as a data field all i get is 0%
