Hope somebody can help

I just changed the wheel on my bike and now the speed sensor isn't working.

The spokemagnet is in correct position and everything else works just fine.
But no speed is being recorded.
When riding, the motor will work at first but quickly stop and give error code 503.

Everything was working fine before wheel change.

Any ideas?
Busted sensor cable?

If it's the spoke mounted magnet then it's probably too far away. I've had to fit a washer behind the sensor to close the gap on one bike.
Other way to check is to get a magnet and move it back and forth against the sensor to see if the Speedo reads it. If not new sensor but check the plug first.

The speedo isn't reading anything. It's stuck on 00.0 kmph.
I've tried multiple positions for the spokemagnet and also tried with other magnets.
I've also checked the plug and everything seems fine.

It's just weird since everything was working fine and all I did was change the wheel.

I'm guessing I'll try and buy a new sensor cable.

Have you tried putting the old wheel back on with the magnet in its original position? Mine is super sensitive to where the magnet is.

Old wheel is pretty woobly, which is why I had to change.
So using it is not an option.
But you should pit it back on to see if it works to eliminate the issues.
Sounds like the magnet is to far away from the sensor.

Ok, just tried the old wheel.
Still no luck even with multiple posititions on different spokes.

Distance from magnet to sensor is ca. 10mm on both wheels.

Make sure the magnet is in line with the actual sensor and not the mounting point.

Thx for the replies guys, but the problem persists.

I guess my only option is to buy a new sensor cable and see if that works.
