Welcome - all it needs is 5 mins at any sort of speed and you'll soon get it dirty fat downtube catches all kinds of crap.

Been out today for 12 miles, before it gets manky and mushy again.

I’ve only read stories and seen pictures on this forum about the mud conditions in the UK. Some were horrific …some were just sad . At times I would be horrified .…but usually I LOL

Hell no ..its mostly worn as a badge of honour..there's little point in going out of the door for 51 weeks*of the year if you don't want to encounter muddy conditions in the UK.
* The other week being extended summer weather when it's dry & dusty ..on a good year

I guess it’s all part of the fun, experience, risk, challenge, drama, etc …which explains why we do this.

Speaking of risk - went out earlier for a 20 miler, and nearly hit a tree again whilst on an uphill single track, through some woods.
