Hi All, so after two years of procrastinating over getting a ebike (haven’t had any form of MTB for over 10 years) I finally took the plundge and went for the Levo HT2019. Reason being I though it would be a good base to tweak over time so I can develop a riding style and replace components that are relevant for me. Ive been out of the MTB loop for some time. Since my early 20s (mid 30s now) and things have moved on so much and any knowledge i did have is very dated.
One thing I do need to sort straight away are the Forks! What utter crap the suntor ones are and they seriously let down a otherwise great starter bike.
What do people recommend I swap out to? What sort of throw can i go up and down from. 100? 140-150? Ive read that i should try and keep within original specs of 20mm?
I have been looking at the the Rockshox Reba RL 120 15x110 29 but finding any seams to be difficult. I’m keen to keep the fatty sizing so should I wish to drop down to a 27.5 wheel with 3” tyre i have that option in the future.
As a side note, i’m keen to meet up with anyone local who can show me some very beginner trails in the area. I live at the bottom of Coppers Hill in Gloucester (Cheese rolling nutters hill) and i would be great to get some guidance.
Looking forward to be an active part of the community.
