Hello all.I'm looking to get into EMTB's in the near future after I built one this year as a fun project.Wow what an eye opener especially as I'm mid 50's and could do with assistance.I'll be asking a lot of questions before I buy,thanks.

Someone might be interested.I buy,rescue and sell bikes as a hobby,a pocket money earner as such mostly via FB marketplace.I constructed a purpose built shed after a winter of fixing outside.Most of the bikes I sell are under £100 but I do get the odd gem.I used to fix motorcycles and cars but they became a pita,and I stopped enjoying getting dirty.I built an electric bike earlier in the year based on a Carrera rigid fork model,as it was a generic kit so I didn't expect much,but I was suprised at the quality and ease of construction although I do have baskets of parts to help.I used it for about 6 weeks and then decided to sell it.Even though I took great care and time too many wires and components would have been open to the elements.This opened my eyes to the concept of electric bikes,I currently ride a Cube Analog.Thanks.

Hello - I'm new here myself. And like you, I'm in the "about to get one" category, rather than one of the old hands. I'm riding an ancient Marin hardtail MTB and think I need some help up the hills, being a decade older than you.

I went to my local bike shop and was flabbergasted when they just handed me a bike to borrow with no questions asked. Didn't even ask my address. Four days I had it and it was a blast! So they've just won themselves a customer.

One of my "near" LBS is pretty accomodating they let me take a Specialized out a few years ago for a test ride.But 4 days wow.... Berkshire Bikes :: Welcome to Berkshire Bikes.com
