Just wanted to give a quick intro. I'm in my mid 30 live in Scotland near Stirling love MTB and ridden one for years. My current poison of choice is a Genesis Tarn 29 (2017). It's a fantastic bike but my mate got me interested in EMTB so now I'm on hunt to get a new bike. Narrowed the search but still trying to decide stock seems to be at all time low for most bikes.

Hi & welcome. I’m based in Scotland also, just south of you in Motherwell. Which bikes have you narrowed your search down to? Have you tried Sprockets in Kilmarnock? Not sure on there current stock, but sometimes have good deals on ex demo. Here’s my weapon of choice. This was an unridden ex demo, bought last April, with a sizeable discount ?. Hope you can find what your after with stock/availability issues.

Thanks for the welcome. I know Motherwell not too well but been through a few times. Got some good trails your direction. I’ve been to Boylestone Quarry. I’m closer to Alloa end. The bikes I’m considering are Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 HPC AT and Whyte E-160 RS V1 can’t decide. I’ll have a look at sprockets give them a call, thanks for suggestion

Yes I’ve got a decent couple of trails on my doorstep. Dalziel country park & Chatelherault park as well. These are the 2 main places I’ve rode, obviously not wanting to venture too far with current restrictions. I have been to New Lanark & also been up Tinto hill. Will get further afield once we’re allowed. Looking forward to a trip to Glentress ?.

Yea it sucks being stuck. I can’t don’t want to venture outside Clackmannanshire but very fortunate to have Ochils at the door step so good trails around. Glentress one of my favourite places would probably live there if I could haha
