So my 2021 140 hybrid race has been stolen ☹

I now have a quandary, can't find the same anywhere. May have chance of a 140 sl delivered in apx a month or wait for a 2022 140 race in sept/Oct.

Sl will obviously cost a bit more than a race. Is it worth the extra.

What would you do. ???????

I had the race as my 1st emtb ,2020 bosch. Its the base model. I now have an Action Team. To be honest life's to short for me to wait around. The SL is a step above the race, if it was me I would just buy a better model which ever I could get now. That's probably why I cant retire any time soon but at least I've lived.

As to whether its worth it, if you can afford it and it's your only bike, a summer without riding is definitely worth the difference.

Also I wouldn't assume that race pricing would stay fixed for 22. You could easily be looking at £4k for the race at that point.

Get the best you can afford.
A friend of mine bought the 2020 140 Race. So far he's replaced the wheels, brakes, handlebars and rear mech. He says now that he wished he'd waited a bit longer (he's an impatient bloke) and gone up a spec or 2

Yeh I was thinking the price will rise like it always does year on year. So I might end up paying for a race 22 at sl 21 price.

I had the chance of a Race and an SL and I went with the SL. It a good upgrade and good value for the money. Suspension alone sold it fo me, the XT brakes are super. Only thing I have changed is the saddle and tubeless.
