Mine has the same as this but people have said it doesn't have to be a trunnion mount or can be a standard typeThis image of a 2020 Trek Rail 9.8 from their website suggests a trunnion mount at the top, rather than an eye:
What has yours got?
You can most likely get the mounting hardware to change from a trunnion mount to eyelet. As already mentioned, you will most likely want to have the shock stroke reduced to 57.5 (or possibly 60 I've heard anecdotally). The other thing to check is that the piggy back reservoir doesn't hit the frame at full compression.Mine has the same as this but people have said it doesn't have to be a trunnion mount or can be a standard type
Did you ever fit this shock to your rail? I do not have my rail yet as it is back ordered and I have purchased a RS super deluxe ultimate with the 230x57.5 standard eyelet. Just trying to get Information now so I can get everything else together. Did you find out if the piggyback hits the downtime of the bike at full compression? Was just wondering whether this would fit my trek rail 9.8 2020 rockshox deluxe 230x65
