Help needed. Fitting Di2 with Shimano e8000

Need help on installing Shimano Di2 to Shimano Steps8000. Fitting di2 to my Focus, but when I connect the new derailleur switch to the screen it goes blank!!!!
Anybody got any ideas

Thanks. Just gone through the whole thread, but nobody else seems to have the same problem as me.
Shimano site has no installation manual either..

How can I update the switch firmware?? Or does it have to go back to a shimano dealer? Really annoying Maddison uk(shimano uk importer)wont give any info to non dealers..

I updated using shimano software and
SM- pce1 tool
U can rent tool of a lad on eBay for £15 for
4 days

I thought switch was broke , As I’m putting Di2 on my Orange Surge ( got all bits just not done yet )
but when I connected the Sm pce1 with the shimano software it said firmware needed updating so I did it In the software and restarted and all worked ok ,
