Love a bargain and managed to purchase an ex demo megawatt with motor missing (EP8) but that’s where the problem lies. Thought I could just purchase a new motor an hit the trail but shimano dealers refuse to sell me one and give reasons : no old motor, not a warranty issue, programming. Contacted Nukeproof and although tried could not sort for me either. Have found one for sale in Germany and have been told it’s already programmed and basically plug and play. Do I take the gamble?

Don't think you have any choice, but a few people seem to have managed to buy them on ebay and been ok, mainly from German sellers. Pay with Paypal, if there's a problem, you should be covered.
