Hi,
Living in south west of Germany, I rode long time ago MTB as well as CX. Now, ages later I‘m new in EMTBiking.
It took me 3 consecutive years of visiting dealer shops and four orders of three brands (2xCube, 1xMoustange those 3 bike haven’t never showing up at the dealers and finally Trek) before I could put my hands on an Ebike at home. So a quite long journey until now. Last purchase was successful and surprisingly online. Browsing in the web, landing in a shop of a cooperate benefit partner, find a suitable bike by accident, color/size in stock, 10 working days lead time, pushed the order button.
And just 5 days later a huge box with a very well protected Trek Rail was delivered.
This happened last week.
And as you can imagine, with all the things to do if you have a family with wife, two children, dog and house, it might be tricky to go quick for the first ride.
However, this is the weekend to go. Today, I need to assembly some protection foil to known exposed frame sections and tomorrow will be the first ride.

So, therefore I‘m stopping here, looking forwards to be part of this forum and start now working on my bike.

Cheers

Welcome to the forum (y)
Many thanks. Meanwhile, maiden ride is done. It was a quick one over 39 km with 720m elevation just though the woods, nothing special. Some forestry roads, few single trails. Very impressed by the possibilities of a 24 plus kg bike. In particular the ability and ease of doing a bunny hopp with such a heavy weight bike is fascinating for me.
More than 60% of the milage was done w/o electrical support, really light pedaling. But switching to Turbo is fun as well, especially for uphill single trails. Although Tour+ suited me yesterday best.
Overall great! Indeed, I hardly can‘t wait for next WE to continue E MTB experience.

Welcome to this forum, hope the first ride on the new bike is gonna be nice.
thanks a lot , already happened. It was a joyful and eye opening session.
Had never thought, that EMTB could be so much fun due to the total weight of 24.5kg. I need to mentioned that my all-time heaviest bike was a Fusion Freerider in 2001 with just around 18,5 kg.
Cheers

Welcome! 25kg full power eBikes are a different way of riding, very different to lighter lower power eBikes. Warning: after I got one (Rail) my wife wanted one. ;)

I doubt, my wife‘s gonna react in the same way, instantly after one single pedal stroke on my bike 😂
