Having a problem with my Mission control app, can anyone help ?

First I open the app, type in my email address and password, and then I click only use my location when using the app, the app works fine I can connect my bike to it and make all the changes I need, but as soon as I shut the app down and then tried to go back on it the app opens for a couple of seconds and then it brings me straight back to the home screen, if I get back on to the mission control app I have to re-download it, and then the same process repeats itself, so every time I need to make changes to my bike I have to download the app each time.

I have the new specialized turbo levo 2019.

Mission control is a very flaky app, mine crashes, stops tracking rides and drains my iPhone battery Good for changing the assist levels but not reliable for logging rides

I haven't even got to the stage of using the app that far, I normally use Strava, tried connecting it to the mission control app and it shuts down straightaway
