The last game I went to watch was an FA Cup quarter final, where I took 7 of my work colleagues, all Liverpool supporters. We lost 7-0, at home. A goal for each colleague I took. I never heard the end of that

That humiliating game was the start of the slippery slope for Brucie and he didn’t last much longer after that, although 6 years of management did see some great success, the biggest being winning the first division’s play off final for promotion to the Premier League against Bruce’s former club, Norwich City

Steady on fella! ..like most supporters we just want a coach with a basic concept of how the game should be played and a team with a bit of intelligence to implement his tactics...

Yeah mister there are open areas in the forest for your chopper ..

That's right ..the main car park ..card payment on exit ..will tell you what to look out for nearer the time ( in terms of cars/ riders)

Looking forward to the ride next week I was up there last Saturday and loved it that much I am heading back up tomorrow as well. going to drop the missus in the car park so she can go or a walk around too with the little one as he isn't well enough to ride.

Ouch ..that twig implant is pretty rad ..but I reckon you need to even things up on the other side ..

Everyone is welcome Jaimie ..if Sarah is OK on red trails at Dalby then she will be fine here ..if there is anything she is unsure about then just get off the bike and walk it ..no one is here to judge and it always helps having other riders around to offer encouragement ..

She can do most of the Red Route at Dalby apart from Medusa & Vera Lynn but she walks down them

Louise will be taking it fairly steady next weekend Jay as she’s still bruised & swollen from her slam last weekend, she’ll be glad of some female company at a slightly slower pace

Hamsterley is very different to Dalby. The red trails are more man made, and quite smooth, just up & down like a rollercoaster. A lot of the time is spent climbing on fire roads. There’s plenty of jumps and drops but they’re all rollable or avoidable

It’s the off piste which is totally nuts at Hamsterley but I don’t know if Hodge has any of those trails planned for us

Nope ...I'm not too familiar with the off piste stuff..although there is lots of it ..and I'm told its possible to ride all day without touching the " official" trails..
The beauty of Hamsterley is that its never to far to return to the start of a favourite section ..which we will probably do on some bits ..
What I'm really chuffed about is having an ebike to ride up that bastard hill to the start of section13 ..you also get to see the downhill nutters flying down as you are climbing up..on Danny Harts section ..if anyone is feeling brave enough I will wait for them at the top !

Saw that. How much protection is there from the wind? I'm assuming its pretty good being a forest...

Wind is the worst to ride in, especially blustery and gusty wind as it knocks you off line...

I agree..its the worst weather condition for riding in ..
Most of the riding is under tree cover but there are some open sections ..
I'm still turning up as the higher figures are what it can gust to ( I think) ...
We might be lucky and have it on our backs for the climbs !
