Haibike with Yamaha display won't power off. The display stays on and drains the battery over time . I have disconnected battery and display etc to try and reset , with no success. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem
I have no idea how your bikes electrical system is set up but in general terms a display is either merely a slave off a controller or it is the controller. If it is the controller, it will be the component that switches the bike on and off. That switch ( a press button) will either operate a mechanical or electronic switch. I would suggest therefore that the first thing you could try is to replace the display. Rather than buy another display, a Haibike dealer may have a spare or one on another bike to change yours out as a test.
