I just thought I'd write this here as it took me a while to figure it all out. There's a lot of crap written about spiders and brose off sets on the internet!

I just fitted a GX Transmission kit to a turbo levo gen 3.

Everything worked well. I used the 104 BCD kit. I removed the original 34t chainring without removing the spider. You need a narrow 10mm spanner to remove the nuts at the back. The chairing clears the spider if you get it in just the right spot. The T type chainring (also 34t) goes on over the spider with loads of clearance.

I used a torque wrench on everything as I'd read this was important. I don't normally use them, but thought I should this time.

I didn't need to use the micro adjust at all.

Genuinely, the hardest part of the install is trying to decide where I wanted the shifter. There is a lot of adjustability built into the mount. All in, it took about 40 mins to remove the old GX stuff and set up the new t type.

Torque figures are;

Shifter mount - 2 nm
Chain ring bolts - 10 nm
Crank bolts - 40 nm
Rear axle - 15 nm
Derailleur mount - 35 nm
Cassette - 40 nm

The shift action is amazing. At walking pace, in top gear, on turbo, I can shift down while pushing the pedals as hard as I can. Barely a click as it shifts.

all pretty standard torque settings
How do you torque a lever action thru axle to 15nm? :p
