Hey! My name is Matt. Long time reader, but finally joined after I pulled the trigger a week ago on my first ebike.

I was able to find an in-stock 2021 Orbea Rise M Ltd SE in Medium at my LBS.

Funny tbing is that I bought the bike without even riding it. Now I did ride the Orbea Urrun hard tail they had in the shop - which gave a general feel - but yeah.. most expensive purchase ever without even trying it.

That said, I've enjoyed my rides on it so far. Got it all set up on my phone - just trying to figure out what I am going to do for a display - phone vs EM800 vs Garmin 130/830 or 1030.

So far I've put on Deity pedals and grips in copper, and a side entry bottle holder.

Excited to get out and do some more trails. First ride I was shocked at how I used the battery: 70% off, 22% eco, 4% trail, and 4% boost.

My wife grew up in Miramichi, but I did north of Toronto. So a couple years back she convinced me to move out here to where she grew up and now I'm loving all the green space.

Most of my relatives are from the Bathurst area. My brother just returned from a tour of the old homestead’s (NB, NS, PEI). I haven’t been back there for 40+ years. Some day I hope.

My first run on the Rise was in Bathurst. They've got a nice little trail system there.
